Library danger zone
The Danger zone contains irreversible library operations. At present it provides library deletion. Open Library settings, then Danger zone only when an authorised owner has decided the library must be permanently removed.
Understand what deletion means
Deleting a library permanently removes its settings and associated library data. The Builder requires all services to be moved or deleted first, which prevents accidental removal while service records remain in the library.
Library deletion cannot be used as an undo for a configuration change. Use environment revert controls, service change management or a planned settings correction instead.
Prepare for deletion
Before selecting Delete this library:
- Confirm the exact library ID and name.
- Obtain the required business, records and technical approval.
- Inventory services, users, integrations, API keys, properties, secrets and email identities.
- Decide whether each service must be moved, archived through an approved process or deleted.
- Retain any records, audit evidence or configuration descriptions required by policy.
- Revoke credentials and remove external-system permissions that the library used.
- Remove or update links, monitoring, DNS, webhooks, documentation and support procedures.
- Move or delete every service from the library.
- Have a second authorised person verify the target and checklist.
Moving or deleting services does not automatically remove files, lists, buckets, domains or credentials in connected external systems. Handle each system with its owner.
Delete the library
Only an administrator sees the deletion action. Read the confirmation carefully and do not proceed if the displayed target differs from the approved record. After deletion, verify that the library no longer appears and that external credentials have been revoked.
If the goal is simply to stop Production releases, enable sandbox mode in Security settings. If the goal is to remove one service, use that service’s lifecycle controls. Choose deletion only when the library itself has no continuing purpose.
