Create library styling from a website
Use an organisation website to create a starting point for your library's visual style. Govform's AI-assisted import examines the site's branding and translates it into settings used by services in the library.
Import the organisation's style
You can supply an optional organisation website when creating a library, including when Darcy creates it for you. The style import runs in the background. For an existing library, open Library settings → Style settings and use the website import controls in the brand-source area.
- Choose a public HTTPS page that clearly represents the organisation's current brand.
- Enter its website address and start the import.
- Wait for the import and follow the preview or review steps shown by Builder.
- Inspect the resulting library style and make any required adjustments.
- Apply and test the style in the intended environments using the normal style workflow.
An import is a starting point for service branding. It translates visible cues such as colours, typography, header presentation and suitable logo imagery into Govform's style settings. It does not recreate the website's pages or turn its navigation into a service journey.
Importing into an existing library replaces its current style settings in Prototype. It does not automatically apply the result to QA, Staging or Production.
Check the result
- Brand identity: confirm the organisation name, selected logo and header treatment.
- Typography: check readability, available font weights and long content at different zoom levels.
- Colours: inspect text, links, buttons, focus indicators and error messages for clarity and contrast.
- Layout: check ordinary questions, tables, review pages and narrow screens.
- Shared impact: preview several services because the style belongs to the library.
A website can have several brand variants or omit useful details from the selected page. Choose a more representative source or configure the remaining settings manually if the result does not match your needs.
Apply styling through the normal release workflow
Importing a style does not replace environment testing. Use the style preview and Prototype first, then check QA before applying the shared style to Production. Review the environment's application status before assuming live services have changed.
If a background import fails, inspect its message and retry the import or configure the style manually. A library that was successfully created still exists; there is no need to create it again to retry branding.
See Library style settings for the full controls, environment application and revert workflow.
