Do I control what Darcy can change and access?
Yes. You choose how Darcy makes changes, and your existing Govform role remains the limit on what it can do.
That lets you use Darcy for explanation and review, approve a plan before editing, or let it make permitted changes as you work.
Choose your change mode
| Mode | How it works |
|---|---|
| Allow changes | Darcy can create and edit as you work, within your permissions. |
| Ask before changing | Review and approve a plan before the requested changes are made. |
| Advice only | Ask questions and inspect the service without making changes. |
Keep sensitive operations deliberate
A change mode does not grant extra library permissions. Library administration operations use dedicated confirmation controls even in Allow changes mode. Publication follows the required human approval workflow; a proposed deployment or approval link is not a completed deployment.
Connected MCP clients have separate per-library choices for form-design access and Response Hub data access. Granting design access does not automatically expose live respondent submissions. The client's connection grant and the person's current role are both checked.
After a design change, inspect the service and test the relevant routes. You can use saved history and version comparisons to review its impact.
See Darcy AI assistance for change modes and MCP integrations for connected-client permissions.
